Return Policy

Returns must be 100% INTACT, in original packaging with the UPC or bar code CLEARLY VISIBLE. All components, manuals, registration card(s), software, cables and/or accessories must also be included. We do not accept the returns of perishable items such as snacks, coffee and tea, kcups and pods, etc which have an expiration date. To have a return processed for your order, call our toll free number at 1.800.609.5707 between 9am-5pm (EST) Monday - Friday with the following information:

  • Original order number
  • Item being returned and quantity
  • Reason for return
  • Your name and daytime phone number
  • Your e-mail address

Please allow 15-25 business days for return processing and credit posted to your account.

Office Universe will apply a full refund of the original purchase price of the item if received back in the condition the order was delivered. For defective products, first contact the warranty service provider listed in the warranty section of the product description.

All returns need to be requested within 25 days of order date.

Refund Policy:

Your purchase must be returned in saleable condition with the original packaging, including Universal Product Code (UPC), manuals, parts, and your receipt or packing slip.

Software:

Unopened software that we currently sell may be returned. Opened software can only be exchanged for the same title version. Downloadable Software is not returnable.

Technology and Business Machines:

Technology and business machines may only be returned within 14 days of the date of receipt.

Food Products:

We do not accept returns of food products.

Furniture:

Furniture returns require prior authorization from Office Universe. All furniture must be in its original carton and in re-sellable condition. Custom furniture is non returnable, which includes but not limited to customers own selected finishes and fabrics. All requests for returns must be made within 7 business days of receipt of product. Any damages to the carton or product must be reported immediately by calling our furniture department at 1.800.609.5707. Defective products will be replaced by the manufacturer but does not include normal wear and tear, which is normal and expected over the course of ownership.

Ink and Toner Cartridges:

Unopened and unexpired ink or toner cartridges that we currently carry may be returned for a full refund.

Prepaid Cards:

Gift Cards and phone cards are non-refundable and non-returnable. They are valid only at the retailer/service provider listed on the card. Prepaid cards cannot be redeemed for cash. Specific terms and conditions are included with each card.

Returns with a receipt:

Unless otherwise specified, if you paid with cash or check, we'll refund your purchase with a check. If you paid using a debit card and if the card and PIN are present during the refund, we'll credit the account used for payment. If your purchase exceeded $500 pretax, and you paid with cash, check or by debit card but do not have your debit card, your money will be refunded in the form of a corporate check. If you paid by credit card, we'll credit the account used for payment.

Any product that is returned without a promotional item(s), which was included in the original transaction (e.g. buy a printer, get free ink), will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the amount refunded.

Returns without a receipt:

In some cases returns without a receipt may be granted. Office Universe reserves the right to deny any return.

THE ITEM

  • Item must not be assembled.
  • Item must be clean and free of dents, scratches, holes, tears, cracks, stickers, labels, price tags, etc.
  • Item must be unused.
  • All parts, hardware, instructions, warranty cards, power cords, etc., must be included.
  • The item must be in its original packaging. This includes the box or carton in which it came in, wrap, protection, or sleeve supplied by the manufacturer.
  • The carton must be free of holes, cuts, tears, etc.
  • The carton must be free of excessive tape or odd tape (i.e. duct or Christmas tape, etc.)
  • All internal packaging (i.e. bubble wrap, cardboard corners, tops and side strips) must be in place.
  • Do not write RA #'s, consumer information, or other information on the manufacturer boxes as this will make it non-returnable.
